Bill BurnsBill started his career with the Chicago Police Department in March 1987. He is currently working patrol in the 018th district on the second watch. His prior unit assignments include the 014th, 015th, 018th (FTO), and Communications and Operations (Dispatcher).
Bill has earned three Masters Degrees with his most recent being a MLA from the University of Chicago. He is a PhD candidate at Loyola University in the Education program (ED.D). He is a certified teacher.
Bill's FOP experience includes election to Unit and Watch Rep positions for the past fourteen years. He is a member of the Newsletter, Grievance, Constitution and By-laws, Discipline, and Fishing Committees. Bill has also a been a member of the past and present Contract Negotiation Teams. He has been a delegate at past State and National Conferences.
Bill's wife, Paula, has supported Bill in all of his endeavors.
