Tom Skelly

Trustee, Fraternal Order of Police, Chicago Lodge 7

Tom retired from the Chicago Police Department in November 2000 after serving for forty plus years.  Tom has worked in the Monroe Marquette Town Hall Albany Park and Area 6, Area 3 and Area 4 Homicide.

Tom has been active in the FOP throughout his career.  He has been elected to the position of Trustee Sgt at Arms and 2nd Vice President.  Tom has served the Lodge and its members as a Field Rep.  Tom has responded to many call outs from officers involved in police shootings, helping them thru those stressful situations.  Tom is the past chairman of the Legal Defense Committee representing officers at the Complaint Review Panel. Tom has been a Delegate to both the State and National Conferences. Tom is one of the Boards all time workers, handling any job asked of him and doing it with the best interests of all FOP members in mind.  Tom has an uncanny quality that he uses to keep us all focused on the issues at hand.

Tom was elected as a Trustee to the Board in March of 2002.

Tom is on the Grievance Legal Defense Political Action and is Chairman of the Golf and Retiree Committee.
