Christopher (Chris) Doherty is 12 years old. He’s
the son of Det. Sgt. John and Debbie Doherty, and the brother of John III. Chris
was diagnosed in June, 2007 with
Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Chris is a student at
St. Symphorosa grammar school on the Southwest side of Chicago. Before being
diagnosed with cancer, Chris was a member of the St. Symphorosa Vikings football
and soccer teams and school band. He also enjoys most sports, paint ball and
video games and hopes to rejoin his Viking teammates soon.

Tom Gibbons is a husband, father, brother and friend
unlike someone you may know. He is married to Lisa and has a 15 year old
daughter Stephanie. In October of 2007, he was diagnosed with stage 3 lung
cancer that quickly progressed to stage 4. Tom was only 45 years old at the
time.
