Since 1837, C.D.Peacock has been the Chicago area's premier source of fine diamonds, jewelry and gifts with multiple locations in Chicago and the suburbs.

We are looking for part-time, service-oriented people who have previous law enforcement, military service (Marine MSG program a plus) and/or  a minimum of  2 years of security guard experience in a retail environment to work at one or more of our retail stores.  As our needs change, full-time employment with additional benefits may become available.

Most of our Stores are open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.  Each position requires availability to work all shifts  including weekends and holidays and being on call for emergency coverage. 

Part-time employees are granted vacation after 1 year on a prorated basis.  Salary ranges from $12 to $15 per hour based on experience.

Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to stand/sit/walk for extended periods of time
• Must be physically fit in order to handle an emergency situation which may require foot pursuit
• Must be able to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision
• Must have a neat and professional appearance and exceptional attitude.
• Must pass satisfactory background and credit checks as well as have satisfactory references
• Must adhere to attendance and punctuality standards.
• Must be able to handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively.
• Must be able to interact with customers and store personnel in a friendly, but professional manner.
• Will be required to dress conservatively including a business suit or dress shirt/blouse, tie (where appropriate), dress slacks and blazer .
