COVID Vaccine For Retirees

Retirees,
The COVID vaccine process at McCormick place is now doing the 2nd shot ONLY for those who received the 1st at that location. There is no plans to start back with round 1 after they complete this phase.
As you may know, it’s being conducted by the Illinois State Police in concert with the Illinois National Guard. We were informed that the State Police were advised that CPD would be doing their own. They did not realize that meant active CPD only and the retirees were left out. Regrettably we did not get any information ahead of time either at Lodge 7.
We are looking for a path forward to possibly take over the current setup once ISP concludes. It would be the same state guidelines of 65 or older. Stay tuned for further info.
