When Your Regular Day Off Is Cancelled On A Holiday

Section 11.2 (C) of our Collective Bargaining Agreement states:
C. Employees whose regular day off coincides with an established holiday, and who are required to work a regular tour of duty (eight hours) on that holiday, will be credited with twenty (20) hours of compensatory time and four (4) hours of compensatory time or additional pay, as the Officer elects.
We pledge ourselves to promote the health and welfare of all Chicago Law Enforcement Officers and their immediate families; to raise and maintain the professional standards of the Chicago Law Enforcement Officer; and to represent Chicago Police Officers in affairs relative to the administration of the department.
